HELIDECK INSPECTION TO ICAO ANNEX 14, CAP 437 & CAAV TC1801

Helicopter service providers have an obligation to ensure their offshore helidecks are inspected and certified to either the local aviation authority’s standard, or where no regulation is in place to the Annex 14/CAP 437 standard, CAAV TC1801. AITECH provides bi-annual helideck inspections and annual friction tests to meet this requirement.

Helideck/helipad inspection – helideck/helipad inspections are conducted on a bi-annual basis to UKCAA CAP 437 and ICAO Annex 14 standards, unless otherwise specified. The inspection is also conducted against service providers relevant documentation and procedures inclusive of Helideck associated support equipment including:

▪ Fire prevention/Firefighting/Emergency crash box
▪ Meteorological recording equipment (including calibration)
▪ Helicopter check-in facilities and equipment
▪ Helideck lighting
▪ Perimeter safety nets (to CAP 437 standards)
